The Junior League of Tucson is proud to run and operate Cinderella’s Closet, a program that provides free formal wear and accessories to teenagers in Southern Arizona so that they can attend their school dances (winter formal, homecoming, and prom). Students can shop at no cost to them to select dresses and accessories that will allow them to have a night to remember with their friends. We believe that regardless of income, all students deserve to enjoy these right of passage moments! Since the spring of  2023, the Junior League of Tucson has provided formal wear to over 1,000 teenagers!

Opening in 2024, a formalwear boutique will open on the Junior League of Tucson’s campus to allow students to shop beyond our larger events so that we can provide more access. Recognizing that time and transportation may also be barriers, JLT will work directly with students, families and home schools to ensure that these barriers do not prevent a student from finding their perfect dress! 

You can support Cinderella’s Closet in the following way!

1. Donate dresses from your own family to be dropped off at our donation sites! Find donation sites here.
2. Host a formal wear drive at your school or place of business!
3. Give a monetary donation here to help us build and maintain our boutique as well as ensure we have equity in dress sizes so that all students can have their Cinderella moment! We never want a student to have to leave without a dress because we do not have their size available.
