Land Acknowledgement

The Junior League of Tucson (JLT) is an organization of women dedicated to improving our community through effective action and leadership. Our Tucson headquarters sits on the unceded, ancestral homeland of Indigenous Peoples including the Hohokam, Tohono O’odham, Pascua Yaqui and more who may call this place home. We live, work, and play here. The Junior League of Tucson acknowledges and respects the Indigenous communities who have stewarded this land throughout generations. We pay respects to their elders, past and present. It is our responsibility to recognize and acknowledge the people, culture and history that make up the fabric of our community.

This acknowledgement is part of JLT’s commitment to Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Access (IDEA) and evolves as our own understanding grows.
